MESSAGE TOPIC: CHARACTER AND DESTINY
SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S): Establishing the connection between character and destiny
There is a very strong connection between a person’s character and their destiny
It is generally confirmed that strength of character determines strength of destiny; people of strong character are people of strong destiny
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE OF STRONG CHARACTER WITH STRONG DESTINIES:
1. Joseph (Gen. 39:5-6, 9)
Joseph had very strong financial and moral integrity
One of the challenges in our generation is the lack of people of strong character
2. Queen Esther (Esth. 2:15-17)
Esther had both financial integrity and victory over covetousness; she was humility personified
Esther’s destiny was achieved on the platform of character
3. Daniel (Dan. 1:8; 6:2, 4)
Daniel was a man of notorious integrity
Daniel outlived four kings; he served in four administrations
Connections may fail but good character can never fail you
Connections may take you up but it is character that keeps you up
4. Paul the apostle (1Thess. 2:10; 2Tim. 4:6-8)
He had the most explosive destiny of all the apostles
He wrote half of the New Testament and had some of the most explosive miracles, signs and wonders
How you behave today determines what you will become tomorrow

HOW DOES CHARACTER AFFECT DESTINY?
1. Character attracts Divine Presence (Gen. 39:2, 21; Ps. 24:3-5)
In the presence of God the potentials of man are released and your potentials are your vehicle to the future
The quality of character determines the intensity of Divine Presence
2. Character attracts Divine defence (Isa. 33:15-16; 1Pet. 3:13)
Your life is not wastable or vulnerable if you have Godly character
When you are defended, destiny is guaranteed
3. Character attracts Divine favour (Esth. 2:15; Ps. 5:12)
Favour opens your door and causes others to be bypassed for your benefit
Many have lost business opportunities, friendships and marriages because of bad character
4. Character establishes joy and fulfilment (Ps. 51:10-12; Neh. 8:10b; Prov. 24:10)
There is a joy that accompanies salvation
When the conscience is not clear, joy disappears.
5. Character facilitates the boldness of faith (Prov. 28:1; 1Tim. 1:19; 3:9)
When the conscience is clear, the boldness is there.
A good conscience is a strengthener of faith
If you want to operate mysterious faith that is responsible for mysterious miracles, hold the conscience clear
COUNSEL:
1. Every price necessary to be paid to maintain Godly character is worth all the cost
2. If destiny must be fulfilled, character must be in place.
QUOTE:
To be who God wants you to be, you must live how God wants you to live
PRAYERS
Father, thank You for Your Word to us tonight. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, any which way I am failing in character, I need Your help and mercy. Give me the grace Lord
COMMUNION FOCUS:
– Communion of preservation/escape/character formation – By this communion, your life and those of your loved ones are preserved!
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
1. We declare fire against terrorism in Nigeria! Their agenda will never succeed!
2. You will fulfil your days and fulfil your life’s assignment in Jesus’ Name!
3. Anyone who won’t let us rest, this week is not passing until they either repent or be laid to rest!
4. I decree and declare in the camp of killers, kidnappers and bandits, more deaths! Those interested in killing others shall begin to lose their lives like water!
6. You cannot be wasted like a chicken!
7. Your blood is too strong to be used for sacrifice!
8. My God and your God is about to give you a testimony that will shock you and shock those who know you!
9. My God and your God will disappoint the expectations of those who want you dead!
10. Overnight tonight, you will hear testimonies that will shock you!
11. No one connected to this commission shall be wasted anyhow!
